چکیده

Due to the presence of valuable genes that contribute a variety functional traits, landraces kept in Genebank can be extremely important wheat breeding. A study was conducted based on agro-morphological traits Nepalese bread explore genetic diversity among them. Using replicated rod row design, 200 were evaluated during winter season 2018 and 2019 at Khumaltar, Lalitpur, Nepal. The degree variations determined using univariate multivariate statistical tools. Shannon-Weaver index (H’) showed wide range studied landraces, ranging from 0.55 0.91 quantitative 0.63 0.85 qualitative traits.Principal component (PC) analysis with an eigenvalue greater than 1 reveals 68% variability for is contributed by first five principal components whereas 67% governed four components. UPGMA (Unweighted pair-groups methods through arithmetic average) clustered 202 into groups according charterers.Identified advantageous adaptive within accessions, will used breeders crosses breeding or directly farmers.

Diallel analysis of some important Morpho-Phenological traits in bread Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) crosses

Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is the most important food crop. It offers a great wealth of material for genetic studies due to its wide ecological distribution. The effects of GCA and SCA of morpho-phenological traits i.e. days to emergence, days to flowering, days to maturity, flag leaf length, grain filling duration, spike weight per plant, stem weight and grain yield were studied uti...

Effect of Recurrent Selection on Drought Tolerance and Related Morpho-Physiological Traits in Bread Wheat

Drought is one of the major abiotic stresses affecting wheat yield. A recurrent selection program was conducted to improve the drought tolerance and yield of bread wheat using drought tolerant advanced breeding lines from a drought tolerant x susceptible cross (HI 1500 x HUW 510). The parental lines were evaluated for yield, biomass and harvest index (HI) in addition to the drought adaptive tra...

Agronomic characteristics of the spring forms of the wheat landraces (einkorn, emmer, spelt, intermediate bread wheat) grown in organic farming

Organic farmers look to the possibilities of growing neglected crops, such as the spring forms of hulled wheat – einkorn, emmer and spelt – for support in developing the organic farming system. In 2008, 169 landraces from the gene bank at the Crop Research Institute in Prague were tested on certifi ed organic plots. The experiment was aimed at fi nding suitable varieties for the organic farming...

Diallel Analysis of Grain Yield and Some Important Agronomic Traits in Bread Wheat

Extended Abstract Introduction and Objective: Wheat is one of the most important crops in the world that plays a key role in ensuring food security. In wheat breeding programs, selection of genotypes with desirable agronomic traits and high yield potential have always been the goal of plant breeders. Increasing the selection efficiency for grain yield depends on genetic knowledge from morpholo...

A genome-wide association study of 23 agronomic traits in Chinese wheat landraces.

Uncovering the genetic basis of agronomic traits in wheat landraces is important for ensuring global food security via the development of improved varieties. Here, 723 wheat landraces from 10 Chinese agro-ecological zones were evaluated for 23 agronomic traits in six environments. All accessions could be clustered into five subgroups based on phenotypic data via discriminant function analysis, ...
